Traineeship Industrial Design
Applying for a job, internship or traineeship
We use a selection process where we access all incoming resume's, motivations and portfolio's within a few days. So within a few working days, we give you an answer if we want to learn to know you a bit better in a conversation. 

For us it is important to see in your portfolio how your design process looks like, why you made some choices and your skills in different area's like aesthetics, sketching, research, 3d design, materials and engineering.

Do you want to gain first a months of relevant working experience in the field of industrial design and product development after your graduation? We offer that possibility. 

You should be able to conduct design research, translate that into powerful conceptual solutions, validate the concepts and test for yourself with prototypes. You should have a developed feeling for aesthetics and adapt your design style to our customers needs.

Traineeship 
Bluelarix Designworks is always interested in talented industrial design trainees who want to be part of our team, creating exciting design work and want to gain relevant working experience. 

In our design studio, a traineeship is basically the same as an internship. It is about gaining relevant working experience with a specific learning goal. A period of traineeship is always 5 or 6 months and the payment is similar to an internship, EUR 300 per month. After this period there are no obligations from both sides and we expect you to hunt for jobs at design departments and design offices with more experience. Of course we fully support if you want to keep searching and applying for jobs during this period of traineeship. 

Motivation
As you have already finished your studies and are in the market for a real first job, we would like to know your motivation when you apply to do a traineeship and what specific training goals you set for yourself. 
 
Conditions
  • you are a student at a higher eduction / university in the direction of industrial design / product engineering or a newly graduate.
  • you are well experienced in working with SolidWorks and / or Alias Design
  • you are strong in styling and have well developed sketching skills
  • you show an innovative way of thinking
  • you enjoy designing with the user in mind
  • you are willing to relocate to Amsterdam
  • you are available for an internship for at least 5 months
